Waxin' and Stitchin'

Flowers and medical imagery are a constant theme in my work, one day I decided to try and alter some flowers in the same way my own body has been altered through surgeries.

above: I dipped the flowers in wax that I melted in a double boiler in my kitchen to try and preserve them. (in the long run it turned the flowers a little brown)



And here are some random seahorses I made using wire and thread. I have no idea what i will use these for yet.
